CPTD Engineering Technician

Job Description

Customer Platform Technology Development (CPTD) Engineering Technician will perform functions in support of board manufacturing and support of engineering metrologies and modules.

  • Assignments are semiroutine in nature.
  • Work performed within generally defined parameters.
  • Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
  • Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Creating recipes across multiple assembly modules
  • Preparing work orders in SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) including generation of production routes, assembly drawings and working closely with Product Engineers and Operation teams ensuring build instructions are correct and available to execute builds and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Support of Engineering Metrologies including execution of DOEs, recipe generation and process/tool troubleshooting
  • May assist engineering teams in developing new processes
  • Potential to support technical issues with assembly modules such as network issues, application debug and user account management

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.


  • Candidate must possess an associate's degree in Microelectronics of Electronic Engineering Technology or Computer Electronic Engineering Technology or any related field with 6 months experience


  • Knowledge of board and system manufacturing
  • Experience with SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME)
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) experience
  • Knowledge of client hardware, system components and performance
  • Experience in MS Windows and Linux OS administration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of computer networks concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, AD
  • Experience in MS Office and Basic knowledge of programming language such as Visual Basic
