Product Development Engineer Intern

Job Description

Business Group Employees in Intel's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group NSG work on non-volatile memory from material science and process research, through component design, manufacturing, ASIC, board, solid state drives and SW solutions. They deliver disruptive solutions that are transforming computing across all segments from Internet Portal Data Centers IPDCs to Consumer Client Devices such as Ultrabooks and Tablets. They invent, develop, bring to market and support customers with leading-edge non-volatile memory products. Our customers include leading cloud service providers CSPs, IPDCs, original equipment manufacturers OEMs, and other leading edge technology companies from around the world. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Scripting (Python)

Preferred qualifications:

Minimum 3+ months of experience/knowledge in the following:

  • Storage technologies
  • Data collection
  • Analysis and reporting
  • PCIe/NVMe or SATA serial interfaces and protocols
