Job Description

Come intern with Intel's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group (NSG), which is developing Solid-State Drive (SSD) and Memory products. NSG is a dynamic group that is strategically positioned to become the leading non-volatile memory (NVM) solution supplier for the compute segment, driving disruptive computing changes in the industry and is a key organization to expanding markets and continuing growth for Intel.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Program Analyst Interns in the Data Center NAND Programs team will have a variety of responsibilities that cover operational, analytical and process efficiency. Your daily agenda will be a mix of self-driven projects and a variety of tasks, including: Driving improvements in Intel's NSG product development through creation and enhancement of reports, indicators, and dashboards. Leading operational process improvement efforts by bringing content experts together to revise and document processes. Generating weekly reports for head count and spending including analysis of spending data to ensure correct assignment to projects. Delivering data more efficiently through the creation of SQL queries for automated reporting. Proposing new ideas and solutions leveraging your education and fresh perspective.

As part of your work in NSG, you will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of product development from a central program office perspective. You will be exposed to program planning, leadership and business operations, product engineering of both hardware and software, system integration, and product validation, quality and reliability engineering.

Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a BS in  Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Data Query Languages (ex. SQL)
  • Data Science, Structures or Analysis
  • Business Intelligence and tools (ex. Microsoft Power BI)

Preferred qualifications:
3+ months of experience/knowledge in the following:

  • Systems Engineering
  • Python Programming Language
  • Database Design with Microsoft SQL or MySQL
