Job Description

You will join the algorithm team and design the signal processing mechanisms in the PHY layer of Intel’s next generation cable-modem chip-set. You will conduct research, analyze various design options, write simulation in floating-point and fixed-point, generate specification documents, and support the implementation teams (RTL and FW).

The Connected Home Division (CHD) in Intel produces mainly chips for a variety of communications technologies designed to serve the connected home. It is the market leader in supplying the coaxial cable industry, based on the DOCSIS specification series, which enable cable-operators provide their broadband access services to their customers.


An MSc or PhD student in EE, specializing in:

  • communications systems and signal processing
  • Excellent skills in Matlab
  • Skillful in writing simulations in a programming language (C++ or other)
  • Good collaboration and communications capabilities
  • Knowledge of communications systems architecture
