Media Engagement & Communications Manager, Memory & Storage Business

Job Description

Are you a technology communications professional who wants to drive creative programs for one of the strategic growth engines at Intel? Do you have previous marketing experience in the enterprise and/or the memory and storage - and a passion for working in this space?

We are looking for a motivated professional to join the Global Communications organization to support Intel's Memory and Storage business. The business features technologies that are shaking-up the memory and storage landscape - from turning PCs into "blisteringly" fast speed demons, to helping improve data center performance for applications ranging from high performance computing to artificial intelligence. This is a juicy opportunity for a communications professional looking to grow their career.

As a self-starter you should have extensive experience working with media and analysts, not to mention deep expertise in technology, communications strategy and storytelling. This role will engage with a diverse mix of colleagues across the Global Marketing and Communications organization, as well as senior level business stakeholder. Executive presence and the ability to work well in a large, matrixed organization is a must.

As a successful candidate your responsibilities may include:

  • Actively participate in the creation of integrated communications campaigns that highlight Intel's value and innovation for tech enthusiast, commercial and consumer audiences.
  • Proactively define and deliver a robust pipeline of globally relevant storylines that bring the application of Intel's memory and storage technologies and products to life, positioning Intel as an innovator that is changing the world for the better.
  • Develop and drive quick twitch engagement ideas to insert Intel into timely and relevant news cycles.
  • Effectively partner across the Global Marketing and Communications group including social, corporate, analyst and marketing teams, to develop and deliver well rounded programs that yield maximum results.
  • Effectively liaise with Intel business groups to understand and translate business goals into strategic PR and thought leadership programs that can be executed both directly and via 3rd parties e.g., agencies, partners, etc.
  • Regularly report out on results, learnings and opportunities for continuous program improvement.

 

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to think strategically and ensure relevancy by "connecting-the-dots" and effectively mapping Intel's business objectives to conversations in the marketplace.
  • Must have or demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships with industry luminaries, technology and business reporters, bloggers and new influencers who cover and closely follow the enterprise and cloud markets.
  • Be well-versed on the current traditional and social media environment as it relates to Intel's business as well as the broader industry.
  • Customer and team oriented. Ability to build strong relationships and successfully partner with peers across Intel and partner companies.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and can craft and deliver key messages to a variety of audiences. Is adept at translating technical topics into easy-to-understand and relevant language.
  • Able to identify and leverage opportunities - both long term and quick twitch - to advance the company's communications objectives in creative, memorable ways that utilizes a variety of media vehicles social media, traditional media, broadcast, etc.
  • Results driven. Thrives on hard work and consistent challenge. Proven ability to be hands-on and strategic able to execute plans as well as help develop strategy and work across multiple product lines.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product and/or technology PR, including direct experience related to enterprise or cloud technology.
  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or master's degree in marketing or communications is a plus.
