Product Development Engineer - Undergrad Intern

Job Description

Come join Intel's Network & Communications Solutions Group (NCSG) as a Product Development Engineer (PDE) working on our core product engineering team. NCSG provides Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) devices to the top infrastructure companies in the world using the leading edge fab technologies. These ASICs are deployed world-wide and provide customer solutions for 5G wireless networks.

You will partner with a core, highly experienced product engineering team and your responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. Typical assignments will provide exposure to the entire new product introduction flow. You will be working with PDE, Marketing, Design, Design-For-Test, Program Management and Quality and Reliability partners. Key responsibilities may include various assignments in assessing manufacturing margin across PVT (process, voltage and temperature), debugging with Test Engineering and/or working with Quality to deliver a fully qualified part for high volume manufacturing.

Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.   

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering

3+ months of experience in:

  • Analyzing data in Excel
  • Perl programming (or similar scripting language) to build data analysis tools


Preferred Qualifications

3+ months experience in:

  • Semiconductor processing
  • DFT and ATE testing techniques
  • Assembly and test operations and procedures
