Data Scientist

Job Description

We are the "Decision Engineering" group. We build decision support systems for many Intel organizations ranging from initial product design and engineering through manufacturing and supply chain.

Generally we are looking for a skilled Data Scientist who in interested in predictive modeling, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structure and unstructured data and who can develop software, algorithms and applications to apply mathematics to data, perform large scale experimentation and build data driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve a variety of business problems and enable business strategy as well as assists business with casual inferences & observations with finding patterns , relationships in data. Typically possesses advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operation Research, and Statistics or equivalent expertise.

Specifically we are seeking a self-motivated data scientist who

  • Enjoys driving positive change into business organizations.
  • Has proven communication skills
  • Enjoys working with end-users, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Is practical and motivated to realize the benefits of algorithms in practice
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is flexible and adaptable; willing to figure out what needs to be done and then willing to do it.
  • Has experience building and deploying usable data models (JSON, SQL, etc).
  • Is comfortable with optimization and good at coding


Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum/must-have:

  • MS/PhD in Engineering
  • python
  • git
  • experience with 1+: cplex, opl, ampl, gurobi, etc
  • data modelling and managing data
  • using databases and/or data lakes


Desirable/nice-to-have:

  • panda, numpy, matplotlib/plotly/ggplot
  • experience with databases
  • docker/kubernetes
  • ML
