SMG Business Sales Intern Part Time Inside Sales

Job Description

Intel's Sales and Marketing Group is looking for interns to join our team. SMG is collectively responsible for driving the accelerated adoption of Intel technology. You will work in an innovative, fast-paced environment with experienced sales and marketing professionals. You will have exposure to many of the aspects of SMG's functions as you work on a project to create a sustainable, scaleable, repeatable internal & external communications strategy.

This project will include building relationships with account managers, technical managers, & senior management across the globe, as well as customer executives. This is a 12 month, part time internship (10-20 hours per week).

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Leadership skills managing stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to consistently deliver results under time constraints in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience influencing via excellent written and oral communication
  • Demonstrated skills in driving processes and solving problems across multiple business groups
  • Strong analytical and data management skills and ability to work through complex/ambiguous business scenarios


You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled and pursuing a BS degree in Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Must be able to work fulltime at the Intel campus during the specified dates
  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of sales cycle and marketing strategies
  • Understanding of Sales CRMs, etc and their role in the Sales Process
  • Familiarity with Intel Architecture products and customers and a working knowledge of broader PC market drivers and trends
  • Proven experience engaging with and supporting customers
  • Proven experience of Excel/Access, including the use of pivot tables, advanced logic functions, and other complex formulas
