NVM Component Architect

Job Description

In this position the candidate will work with the NVM component architecture team with NSG.

Main responsibilities of the candidate include:

Contribute to the definition and development of NVM component specifications with the understanding of the memory technology attributes and Intel platform requirements.
Build and deliver a memory component model to enable various emulation and simulation teams across Intel.
Work with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to translate technology attributes, component design attributes and system requirements to component specifications and modeling.
Participate in exploring and enabling architectural path-finding solutions through building models ranging from an early stage behavioral model to a detailed model that comprehends interface protocols, functionality, implementation and architecture of the memory component.
Comprehend memory controller and system protocols to develop a comprehensive component model.
As an architect, will be required to also closely work with product development teams to ensure successful implementation of the product and also provide technical support to the teams through the entire PLC.

Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.  This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess a BS or  MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in:

  • Verilog and / or Very High Level Design Language VHDL
  • C/C++ programming, System C, Perl, Python

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Build emulation models from Register Transfer Level RTL
  • Build models for performance and power analysis
