Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group: The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive (SSD) system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing

In this role you will be part of a team that is working to enable a data rich environment that supports ingestion, transformation, storage, and analysis of information about the operation of solid state drives. This opportunity includes working with data scientists to apply data architecture and management principles toward enabling an environment which can accelerate business growth and mature the organization's understanding of how to develop new technologies.

This is an opportunity for a computer scientist to gain experience in the realm of data science and be exposed to a tool chain that enables advanced data analytics!. Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignment open to both full and part time candidates.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions. This is part or full time entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills, problem/conflict resolution skills

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Scientist  or related field. This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Programming in Python
  • Data mapping and architecting to support a data glossary and dictionary
  • JSON manipulation in Python including defining and enforcing schemas
  • Background working with code management and content delivery systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with binary decoding and parsing of content in many file formats
  • Experience hosting code execution in a cloud environment and providing interfaces for operation over a network
  • Willing to troubleshoot issues throughout the design process and during implementation
  • Work closely with stakeholders on a regular basis to support the implementation of stakeholder requirements and customizations during the development, testing, deployment, training and maintenance phases
