SSD Data Center Product Marketing Intern

Job Description

The SSD Data Center Product Marketing Internship role offers hands-on and direct experience in cutting edge storage technology solutions product marketing, positioning and launch activities. Specifically, the internship is an opportunity to learn about fast-growing solid state drive marketing and how it is changing the data center and enterprise based computing environments.


The intern will work primarily with the technical product marketing engineering teams to support product collateral support, competitive positioning and come up with data driven product launch strategy. The role will involve understanding storage landscape and Intel SSD roadmap and create different use cases to shape marketing messaging with creating compelling proof points. Additionally, the intern will work with senior members of the team to create and collaborate on customer ready concept reviews of the product.

This is a dynamic internship role that will allow the candidate to grow their skills in multiple areas. The duration of the internship is targeted for a 7-12 months. Work spans from product marketing activities, and business development. Possible domestic travel. Some repetitive work is required and expected.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills, problem/conflict resolution skills
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Excel and Power Point
  • Storage benchmarking
  • Solid State Drive basic
