Product Development Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. Make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits. Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods. Develops and debugs complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment. Creates and tests validation and production test hardware solutions. Tests, validates, modifies and redesigns circuits to guarantee component margin to specification. Analyzes and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability. Analyzes early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities. Creates and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints. Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


Candidate will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.  This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 1+ year of experience in the following areas:

  • Programming C/C++ and scripting languages like Python
  • Validation with embedded firmware, real-time operating system RTOS, and HW/SW interactions
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing test plans

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1+ year of experience in the following areas:

  • NVM product development, design validation, and qualification.
  • Demonstrate good level of understanding of Memory testers and test code environment, specifically C, C++ and Python.
  • Circuits, statistics and fabrication process.
  • Good level of understanding of the entire Semiconductor manufacturing flow Fab, Wafer Sort, Assembly, Test.
