Product Test Development Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problem device specification and yield problems minor redesign of devices and masks analysis of customer returns and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints.

Assumes responsibility for device after transfer into high volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication. May assist customer in device usage problems or customer testing of complex devices. Plans and schedules daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement based on standard practices.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Applicants will creatively apply the technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field. This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Flash, SRAM, SDRAM Memory Components in the area of circuit design
  • Product test development
  • Fab processing

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ months experience in the following areas:

  • NAND or NOR Flash Memory applications
  • Semiconductor device physics, programming and semiconductor testing
