SSD System Product Engineer

Job Description

As an SSD System Product Engineer you will be working closely with the SSD System Product Engineering Lead. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • To work on the development of and perform gap analysis related to the Product Master Test Plan (MTP).
  • To run sample content from different sections of the MTP to ensure robustness of the content.
  • To partner with product level as well as ingredient validation teams on improving content execution efficiency and failure reporting/tracking process.
  • To design and carry out experiments to identify failure root cause and improve validation methodologies for NVM based SSDs.
  • To own/contribute to product level debug of issues such as power, performance, and protocol functionalities/features.
  • To support SSD system level integration with OEM and Channel platforms.
  • To autonomously plan and schedule own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
  • Product/system level experience spanning H/W and S/W domains (especially related to validation and debug) is a plus point


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must have a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related flied.

6+ months of experience in the following areas:

  • Software background & programming skills C++, Perl, Python, any scripting language
  • Solid state drives
  • VLSI design, assembly language programming, computer architecture, data structures, and statistical data analysis
