Product Development Engineer

Job Description

In this position you will be a technical leader on a strong technical team that is focused on delivering leading edge memory modules (Intel Optane Memory!) and solid state drive storage that will change the fast growing solid state Client Storage Market. Your charter will be to define test plans, and to develop test frame works and content in a way that leads to timely, high quality SSDs and memory modules that delight our customers.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Define tests to validate that SSD system behaves according to product definition
  • Developing framework(s) to be able to efficiently create test content across products
  • Develop SSD functional test content
  • Work as a strong individual contributor and as a technical leader as part of a highly dynamic product development team

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An engineer with experience in developing tools, programs or tests
  • An engineer with strong technical problem solving experience
  • A collaborative individual who can work both as an individual contributor and as a technical leader as part of a highly dynamic product development team
  • An engineer with experience in SSD debug and/or validation experience
  • A self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

The must have a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field.

12+ months of experience in the following areas:

  • System level validation
  • Failure analysis
  • Programming languages (C, C++, Python or Java)

Preferred Qualifications:

12+ months of experience in the following areas:

  • PCIe & NVMe protocol
  • Bench test equipment (Protocol Analyzers, O-scope, Power Analyzer and others)
  • SSD design and architecture fundamental
  • SSD Security protocol (Opal, pyrite, ata)
