Intel Ethernet Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) supporting China

Job Description

This position is a technical sales lead aligned to the Business Unit Sales head. Responsible for advising and influencing end user customers, ISVs, OEMs, partners and scale engines. Responsible for understanding the business use case and technical merits of a solution and coowning relationships with customer/partner decisionmakers to influence the customers purchasing decision. Works with all audiences to accelerate adoption of Intelbased platforms and document gaps/provide feedback to solution stakeholders including: solution architects, vertical/horizontal business leaders and partners, OEMs, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, and ISVs & service providers. Daily activities will include providing direct technical assistance to customers and partners, interfacing with Sr. technical decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.

The Intel Sales & Marketing Group has an immediate job opening for an Intel Ethernet Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) supporting China. The China TSS is a deeply technical Ethernet product champion primarily supporting Intel's end-user consumption account teams for customer pre-sales technical engagements and Intel Ethernet product evaluations/qualifications. This is a strategic technical role that will influence the continued growth and success of Intel Ethernet in China.
Key Activities:
Be the primary Intel Ethernet technical enablement contact for pre-sales opportunities across Intel's broad market consumption segments in China - Cloud, Communications Service Providers/Telco, Enterprise vertical segments, and Embedded/IoT.
Support customer Ethernet product sampling requests and assist customers with product evaluations, qualifications, feature testing & comparisons, and POCs involving the Intel Ethernet products.
Support customer RFQ discussions, assist in building relationships between customers and the Intel Ethernet business unit product and solution architects, and collaborate with technical teams (customer and Intel business unit) to build Ethernet related solutions, and help to tune, configure, and/or optimize solution performance.
Collaborate with other Intel Technical Specialists and Intel Field Application Engineers to provide their customers with technical pre-sales Ethernet support.
Be an important voice from the China region into the Networking Division business representing customer product evaluation criteria and key product support issues requiring business unit assistance.
Provide occasional product roadmap update presentations as well as technical and product trainings in China.


Technical professional with engineering background/education (Bachelor's or Master's degree is required in a relevant discipline)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) in technical sales or technical support capacity with track record of success
Strong Ethernet technology experience and product knowledge
Experience working with networking and data center technical infrastructure and customer workloads/applications
Strong leadership and collaboration skills
Strong customer orientation and interest in working with technical teams
Excellent project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Prior experience with Ethernet and/or connectivity technologies is a plus
Occasional business travel is required
