SoC Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join one of Intel’s leading SoC Design groups!

In this position your responsibilities will include, although not limited to:

  • Overseeing definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development.
  • Determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Defining module interfaces/formats for simulation.
  • Performing logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs.
  • Contributing to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
  • Performing all aspects of the SoC design flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.
  • Analyzing equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.
  • Reviewing vendor capability to support development.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements

Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

3+ months experience with:

  • Reading and interpreting technical specs and Register Transfer Level (RTL) code
  • Writing validation plans and software to implement those validation plans
  • UNIX or Linux

Preferred Qualifications

6+ months experience with:

  • Computer Architecture
  • IA-32 assembly and/or Verilog* programming
  • Validation or testing experience, especially in a silicon design team
