Chrome HW System Architect

Job Description

This is for a HW system architecture position in the Client Computing Group Chrome Systems team. The candidate is expected to have a broad background in product development & system architecture.
 

This position requires you to work closely with Marketing, Architecture, Planning and Engineering teams, and create system definition and specifications. You will also need to engage and influence other groups across Intel and interact with external customers and partners in the industry.
 

Some of the job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment.
  • Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.
  • Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk.
  • Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems.
  • Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products.
  • Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
 

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other engineering field.
  • 5+ years of HW architecture/design.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

Several years of experience with:

  • SoC architecture/design.
  • FW or/and SW design.
  • System/platform architecture and working with customers to incorporate their engineering requirements.
