Software DevOps QA Engineer

Job Description

The Telemetry Center of Excellence (CoE) in the Microsoft Systems & Technology division of Intel's Software & Solutions Group (SSG) seeks a software engineer to verify & manage release of new features in our telemetry solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join an entrepreneurial team and contribute to the growth & evolution of Intel's Telemetry CoE.
Our work involves every key stakeholder team that is critical to delivering our silicon, software, and systems solution products. It's a highly collaborative environment which we work in, and we're looking for that next team member to help us out. We are constantly looking for ways to streamline Intel's product development & validation processes.
The solutions and tools that the team is responsible for is varied, with new projects & capabilities being planned on a regular basis. The candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to directly contribute to multiple areas that are critical to Analytics & Telemetry at Intel.
The duties for this QA role would include (but not be limited by) product packages quality assessment: test strategy planning, test automation, automatic & manual test execution, results reporting, and strengthening build-validation-release-deploy product flow.


Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science with 5 year of software development and/or QA experience in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Informatics, or equivalent degree.
Definition, planning & execution of test cases
Software debugging (OS, APIs, Application)
Script development experience in Python/Bat/Shell/Bash
Experience with tools for software version control & bug tracking
Familiar with build automation using Jenkins, Github, Team City, Artifactory.
Familiar with user & programming interfaces across Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux and possibly other open source distributions
C/C# knowledge, be able to read code
Strong understanding of the SDLC and industry-standard SW design principles.
Should be comfortable to work in a start up like environment and must be able to adapt & develop to evolving requirements
Strong team player
Ability to work in an Agile team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Intel's IP compliance and Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) processes
Development experience with a variety of languages: C, C++
Web development: AngularJS, JavaScript, NodeJS, Vue.js
Complex code debugging capabilities (millions of SLOCs, parallel code).
Demonstrated experience with software tuning tools and tuning methodologies, leading to measurable performance gains.
Machine Learning, Analytics, and Indicators/Metrics generation: Splunk, PowerBI, Tableau, R
Experience with Cloud & Big Data technologies (Hadoop, AWS, Docker, GO)
SQL and relational database administration, queries, and structured data management
DevOps paradigms & principles
