The Open Source Technology Center OTC at Intel is a leading organization in the open source community and software industry. OTC is a growing organization, with strong and visible leadership in many open source projects, and has made solid contributions to Intel's business.The OTC cloud networking and storage team has led networking and storage development in open source programs such as OpenStack, OpenDayLight, OPNFV, ONAP, OpenSDS and Ceph. We built technical leadership in the projects, contributed to stability, scalability, security, simplicity, interoperability, and performance. We are looking for a senior storage software engineer to work with our Intel engineering teams across different BUs, Geos, including SSG/OTC, IOTG, and DCG/NPG, and the open source community. As a part of our leadership team, you will touch all the above projects, with a focus on OpenSDS. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:- Grow Intel's technical leadership in the open source community for cloud storage domain, including architecture design, code contributions, code review, winning status of core committer/reviewer/Project Technical Lead, and building technical influence on project direction.- Participate in feature design and implementation for OpenSDS working with external team together, to deliver Intel Architecture IA platform features or optimization solutions.- Work with the industry to drive the open source storage domain with Intel's strategy, enable Intel's customers in the technology development, deployment and business wins, which contribute to Intel's storage business growth.- Evangelize and influence the open source community, may represent Intel in various working groups or committees, and present at conferences.
- Bachelor or Masters in technical degree
- Strong technical skills and experience on cloud- Expertise in OpenSDS
- Proven track record and technical leadership in your current position and career.
- Experienced in working with global teams, and with customers and partners from the industry- Experienced in Golang and C++ programming languages
- Strong technical communication skills- Collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, and adaptive to change
