Senior Yield and Data Analysis Engineer

Job Description

Intel's 3D XPointTM is a new breakthrough in non-volatile memory technology and is revolutionizing the NVM landscape and storage/memory as we know it. This is one of the key pillars for NSG's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group growth to $10B by 2020 and is a critical element of Intel's overall connected platform strategy. The technology development team plays a key role to rapidly enhance the process capability to meet the performance, yield, and cost goals for NSG.

The Technology Development team is looking for an experienced engineer in Yield Engineering with an emphasis on device physics and data analysis. Effective data communication and presentation is critical for this role. This position will require flexibility to accommodate the changing priorities and needs in a technology development environment involving brand new materials, architecture, and integration schemes. In this position, the successful candidate will partner with integration and process engineering to deliver effective problem identification and segmentation as well as comprehensive data analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet challenging program goals and deliver improved yields. The successful candidates should have at least 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing with proven accomplishments in data analytics and be able to demonstrate familiarity with common statistical data analysis methods. Experience in process integration or yield analysis is highly recommended with a demonstrated understanding of integrated process flow and multivariate problem solving.

Responsibilities include: Data extraction and analysis, data segmentation and interpretation based on understanding of device physics and process integration, data presentation to varied audiences, model based problem solving, influence through data, and collaboration with process areas, process integration, and device experts.



  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or related discipline (MS with 4+ years’ experience or a PhD with 2+ years’ experience).

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6+ years’ experience in yield, integration, device or data analysis.
  • 6+ years’ experience in data extraction, data analysis and DOE principles, process integration, process development, understanding of critical device parametrics, and yield issue resolution.

Additional Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with advanced data analysis techniques and effective data presentation.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across teams. 
  • Must be flexible in accommodating changing priorities to support business needs.
  • The right candidate will be a fast learner and will need to quickly become an expert in the device, yield testing systems, and data segmentation.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in semiconductor technology development.
