Software Quality Assurance Intern or Thesis Opportunity (f/m)

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic student interested in contributing to the validation of a software stack used for Intel platform enabling and debug.

Our software is used to enable for a a wide range of Intel products, from embedded micro-controllers to enterprise servers.

In collaboration with an expert team, you will be responsible for specifying, implementing, and executing tests used to ensure a top-notch software product for our customers. As we believe that most test content should be run by computers, we invest heavily in the automation of our day-to-day tasks.

A thesis project is an option for this position.


Qualifications should include:

  • Strong skills in a scripting language like Python & Bash
  • Strong skills in both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of software versioning control tools like Git
  • Excellent verbal & written English communication skills

Preferred skills:

  • Experience and skills with Python test frameworks
  • Experience with software development in Java and C/C++
  • Experience with build systems like Cmake, Make, Maven
  • Skills with debugging platform enabling scenarios, including BIOS and bootflow, and use of their associated debugging tools
  • Knowledge of quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts, and the ability to identify key KPIs for product quality
