DCG (Data Center Group) is looking for an experience System Administrator for the new generation servers. As part of this role you will be responsible to setup, enable and manage large number of systems in clusters using the lasted and greatest technology ingredients including technologies under development.
In this role you are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting and recycling of multiple systems(computer servers) in a distributed computing environment. Monitors usage, load and performance of remote or locally sited servers. Installs and tests operating systems, databases and/or supported enterprise applications. Troubleshoots for errors, performs recovery steps remotely or on site. Researches, recommends and/or implements system enhancements that will improve server/OS/application reliability, security and performance. May formulate, recommend and/or monitors policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.
- Build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades.
- Diagnose and correct computer systems issues.
- Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support.
- Recommend software and hardware enhancements.
The candidate must have proven experience managing clusters for at least 5 yrs.
Required OS Knowledge: Windows & Linux. Bare Metal + Virtual machines, VM Ware, Hyper-V, Containers
Scripting experience with Python, Perl, Bash, KSH.
Strong Troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills (English and Spanish)
Experience designing and implementing an enterprise Linux and Vmware environment
Experience with network concepts and architecture
Experience with middle ware
Tools update methodology for SW (Including uCode, FW, Drivers, Bios, content),
Cluster Qual Plan strategy, telemetry and indicator of progress
