GSM R&D Strategic Enablement (RDSE) Specialist

Job Description
R&D Strategic Enablement (RDSE) Finance supports the procurement of customer oriented and consolidated solutions for our product development partners across TSCG Engineering and all of the BU's. These solutions include EDA HW/SW, External IP, Product Engineering Services CW's, and Electronic Test/Measurement equipment. The organization manages spends over $1.5B annually in the procurement of these goods and services.

The R&D Strategic Enablement (RDSE) specialist will be primarily responsible for all Intel 3rd party IP procurement and Test and Measurement equipment sourcing. Specifically supporting and influencing Biz Dev Managers and Commodity Managers on negotiation strategy, optimizing enterprise wide contracts, IP affordability, make vs buy analysis, and corporate wide MRC's as well as Path to 30 initiatives. The specialist will have a key role in helping Intel optimize 3rd party IP decisions and spending across the company and will work with various BU Ops and Finance stakeholders. Success in the role will help Intel fuel Intel growth in new markets while lowering cost and improving time to market product competitiveness.


The successful candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills along with interest and aptitude for technical topics. They should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, proactive in their engagements, and demonstrate an ability to extract strategic insight from external analysis. The candidate will show strong partnership and influence skills with the ability to work across a range of functions, organizations and stakeholders. Ability to effectively apply advanced financial modeling, financial acumen, risk management and accounting skills are a must. Prior experience working in the growth businesses or working with external IP is a plus.

A BA/BS in accounting or finance with 5+ years of experience or an MBA with 3+ years of experience is required. Previous Finance experience is required.
