The candidate must be knowledgeable about the chemical/ physical/ mechanical/ dimensional properties, behaviors, and characteristics of materials. Must have reliability skills, be familiar with the quality operating systems methodology, and statistical concepts. It is desirable that the candidate also has a strong working knowledge/experience with excursion management process, change control management, and supplier audits. The candidate must be able to work independently in a highly matrixed structure, and have excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills. The candidate must be able to successfully influence stakeholders in the materials ecosystem. The candidate should have earned an MS or Ph.D. degree in a related engineering or physical sciences discipline such as Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Physics or relevant extensive work experiences. Travel to supplier sites required, as well as participation in meetings with global partners in the USA and Asia. Job location is Chongqing, China.
