Corporate Services Environmental Waste/Safety Engineer will be responsible for the interpretation and development of programs for applicable environmental and safety regulations and governmental requirements, and Intel Standards. In this position, communication to all levels in an organization contractors, technicians, engineers, and managers is required. You will be representing the Intel EHS Organization in the area of environmental and safety engineering and conveying applicable environmental/safety regulatory requirements to management, influencing organizations to maintain environmental/safety performance, limiting Intel's environmental footprint, in an effort to comply with the Federal and State Hazardous Waste (RCRA) regulations. This position will require an in depth understanding of Federal, State, City, APAC Countries hazardous waste regulatory requirements specifically the US EPA Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
The Chandler Site is a Technology Development and Transfer Site with responsibilities including Site environmental recordkeeping and reporting, preparation and submittal of required environmental reports. Examples of recordkeeping and reporting; Toxic Release Inventory Report, TEIR II Report, and AZ DEQ RCRA Facilities Annual Report, RCRA Training Program, RCRA Empty Container Management Program, Hazardous Waste Payments/Fees, RCRA BB/CC, Subpart J, Subpart I interfacing with contractors responsible for implementation Air Liquide, Aquatech, JLL, CHES, VES, development of electronic rounds/readings and AZDEQ e-waste Program, hazardous waste characterization/profiles, eCUDL, Intel 6D, AZDEQ myDEQ, precious metal reclaim and hazmat logistics.
The Chandler responsibilities will include representation in international cross-site teams (i.e. Asia Pacific Environmental Joint Engineering Team, EJET) and the FSM Intel Chemical Waste Working Group. The purpose of the engagement with multidisciplinary Team's is to increase environmental awareness, share learning, increase innovation, and drive synergy throughout Intel.
You will act as the liaison and advisor for Construction Projects so that environmental and safety program interests are comprehended to ensure regulatory compliance is met. You will be required to complete compliance self-assessments to gauge the health of the environmental and safety programs and identify areas needed for improvement to ensure regulatory compliance is met.

Minimum Qualification Skills Must Have Skills: BS + 4 yrs. exp. MS + 3 yrs. exp. in Environmental Engineering or a related field and work experience preferably mostly in the environmental field, EHS and in a manufacturing environment.
