Deep Learning R&D Engineer

Job Description
In this role the candidate is expected to:
Plans, designs and develops tools and models for Health AI .
Build proof-of-concept (POC) applications using various state-of-the-art implementations in machine learning and deep learning on medical imaging modality
Survey, evaluate and implement existing, or create new or modifications ML/DL methods and algorithms.
Build software prototypes based on the domain of image processing, computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning for Health AI applications.
Hands-on, experimental work in ML and DL is a must.
Mentor engineers in the team and provide strategic insights on Health AI
Ability to explore research publications and identifying the state of the art implementations, data sets for Health Care domain.
Build state of the art ML/DL models based on existing research publications.
Maintains substantial knowledge of leading edge deep learning models, principles and theories.
Should be a self-starter and willingness to work under ambiguity is a key.


Qualifications

Master's or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields (statistics, applied math, computational neuroscience).
Knowledge of theory and techniques in machine learning, deep learning
Prior experience in image processing & machine learning with experience in medical image formats like DICOM is an added advantage.
Any experience in publishing results in external tier-1 conferences is an added advantage.
Expertise in programming with Python, C/C++, OpenCV
Good exposure to PyTorch/Caffe/TensorFlow or other DL frameworks and related tool kits
Experience in Inventing optimized architectures and layers for training / inference convolution and recurrent networks using DL frameworks.
Experience in building distributed machine learning using frameworks like Apache Spark
