CAD Software Engineer
Develops and applies computer aided design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software. Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
This person will be responsible for development and maintenance of CAD software which is used in VLSI design flow. It will be required to analyze customer needs, debug and respond to bug reports, improve performance and memory footprint of the software. Will work with architect to plan new features, infrastructure updates, bug fixes and overall development roadmap. This role will involve good amount of customer interaction, hence flexibility to work late hours and respond to mails / QA work over non-office hours may be needed.

BTech/BE/MTech/ME/MSc in CS with C++ / STL / boost, GUI programming with Qt, Solid grasp of Data structures and algorithms, complexity, Memory and runtime profiling tools, Version control and code coverage tools, Scripting languages - perl/python/shell scripting, EDA tool development experience, Network programming, VLSI flow knowledge, ICV/Calibre Runset knowledge preferable. 3+ years of experience in relevant area after completing a CS major
