Software Quality Engineer

Job Description
Intel Software Quality is inviting experienced software engineers with passion for software quality who can work closely with Intel software organizations in improving engineering practices and overall product quality for Intel software.
In this position, you will be responsible for defining methodologies and deploying solutions across Intel SW product teams. You will work closely with other software engineers/subject matter experts from ISQ and across software teams to ensure the defined processes are relevant and effective.
To accomplish this, you will apply software quality engineering principles, problem solving methods, influencing skills to plan and execute these process improvement programs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- evaluating current state of software practices in specific SW engineering organizations to identify improvement opportunities
- analyzing product and process metrics for key insights
- deploying improved process solutions (usually with a cross functional work group), including automation, process guidance, training, etc.


Qualifications

You must possess a Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline with 5-7 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of models like SEI CMM, ISO, Six Sigma will be added advantage. Additional qualifications needed to be successful in this role include:
- Strong oral, and written communication skills
- Strong skills in solving problems and using data to drive decisions
- Effective influencing skills and organizational skills
- Experience in working across the full life cycle of software development
- Understanding of proprietary/open source license and restrictions
- Ability to work in an ambiguous and frequently changing environment
Ability to work with geographically distributed stakeholders
