Duty Drawback & Compliance Manager

Job Description

Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California looking for a Duty Drawback & Compliance Manager to join Intel's leading Global Trade organization. As a Duty Drawback & Compliance Manager, the primary responsibility will include all aspects of an effective U.S. duty drawback compliance program, including but not limited to the development, submission, claim processing and engagement in business planning to maximize duty drawback opportunities.

Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement and maintain an effective US duty drawback program
Ensure the duty drawback program is compliant, efficient and accurate
Effectively engage and educate business groups and supply chain planning in support of the duty drawback program
Ensure effective recordkeeping as it relates to duty drawback
Conduct audits related to duty drawback activities and manage corrective actions
Manage internal and external relationships and agreements related to the duty drawback program
Propose SAP enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiencies in related reporting
Maintain knowledge of current regulations, best practices and proposed regulations to ensure compliance while seeking opportunities to reduce duty outlay and improve the drawback process
Support other areas of trade compliance as needed


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master Degree in related field
A minimum of five years of experience in:

  • Duty drawback experience as customs broker, industry trade specialist, US Customs drawback auditor, or import specialist, which includes duty drawback experience and may include experience in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes
  • Experience and knowledge in US Customs Code of Federal Regulations Title 19, with an emphasis on regulations and rules related to valuation and the payment of duties
  • Experience in developing and administering an effective Duty Drawback program

Preferred Qualifications:

U.S. Customs broker's license (preferred)

Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to recommend and drive decisions while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, rules and policies
Ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams across multiple geographies
Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with senior stakeholders
Ability to work in a highly dynamic, challenging environment where juggling multiple urgent tasks is routine
Strong program management skills, communication and interpersonal skills
Must have excellent analytical, data mining and problem-solving skills.
Must have strong mindset towards advancing programs using emerging technologies
Performs with a high level of accuracy and quality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of SAP
