MIT Process Integration and Control DCT Engineers work on Compressed Shift (Day/Night) schedules, supporting Factory Automation systems for Intel's worldwide manufacturing network in a 24x7 environment. They install, configure and provide Level-2 support for Factory Automation software for the control systems for manufacturing process. They will apply advanced troubleshooting methodologies to solve automation system problems, including driving short-term and permanent solutions, working with other Process Integration and Control experts, Database and Applications Administrators as well as Systems Administrators.They work in a Global team to meet the 24x7 support need, communicating status clearly at end of shift, and taking passdown at the start of the shift, to seamlessly cover transitions from the US team to Asia team and back. They will participate in technical reviews and risk assessments for Factory Automation software and configuration changes, provide inputs to improve test plans, document resolution information and participate in post-incident/post-implementation reviews.
BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or another relevant engineering field is required. Candidates with an MS degree in such fields may also apply. Keen aptitude to troubleshoot problems. Passion to excel in 24x7 Factory IT support, computer infrastructure servers, networks, storage expertise, factory automation systems development/engineering and IT Service Management principles.
Demonstrated ability to communicate well verbally and in written form, and good presentation skills.
