Java Validation Technical Lead

Job Description
Join a highly motivated and agile CVCG/OTC/SSE organization that defines, drives and delivers Java software solutions to enable production ready server platforms for Cloud and Enterprise customers.
In this role, you will be the technical lead for Java validation:
- Defining and developing detailed test plan collaterals for Java virtual machine (JVM) compiler, Java Development Kit (JDK) libraries and Java vertical stack for capability and end-to-end scenarios based on product requirements and system design (e.g. PRDs, SASs); Review them with key stakeholders
- Root-cause issues, collaborate with developers on the issue, file bugs in tools like JIRA, track and publish metrics based on open and resolved bugs based on severity, priority, and age.
- Design and develop unit tests and automate them for regressions
- Develop white box and black box tests, end-to-end use case tests and automate them for smoke tests, daily and weekly tests
- If the issues are regressed, identify the root cause of regression and ensure resolution in place
- Perform bug review meetings to review and assign bugs to developers and open source community
- Run code coverage and static analysis tools
- Ensure code meets Intel QRC (quality release criteria) and legal requirements prior to upstreaming
- Perform code reviews with developers and identify issues ahead of check-in and upstreaming to Java community
- Handle customer requests with a quick turnaround per SLA


The candidate must possess a minimum of a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science with 5+ years of applicable industry experience in the areas listed below.
* Industry hands-on experience in Java validation or development at a system software level and knowledgeable at an application level
* Demonstrated skills and ability in developing test cases, automating tests and validating JVM compiler, JDL libraries and Java components such as Spark, Deep-Learning-4-Java, Lucene, Kafka and other Apache components, Java apps
* Demonstrated skills and ability to quickly develop unit tests and automate them
* Demonstrated skills and ability to work across Intel internal groups and with open source community to identify and proactively resolve issues
* Demonstrated skills and ability to use IDEs to step through source code to root cause issues and pin point source of the problem to get the issues resolved
* Mindset and ability to lead efforts across-organizational teams to solve platform-wide challenges is required
* Broad experience in Java is required; Expedience in Node.js, Javascript, Go, and C/C++ programming is a huge plus.
* Knowledge of Intel SoC and platform hardware architecture and software technologies is required
* Experience in running compliance tests is a big plus
