The Go To Market Specialist is chartered to develop and maintain segment specific worldwide marketing campaign strategy that accounts for Business
Unit priorities, marketing environment, competition, and funding realities.
Creates and maintains segment specific marketing strategies in support of business objectives through strategic to market plans and processes. Communicates marketing campaign strategy proposals with senior management and worldwide marketing teams and coordinates with key stakeholders' worldwide to ensure the overall campaign implementation is aligned to the recommended strategy.
This position will be part of the Enthusiast Laptop & Innovation team (ELIT) within MCP, ELIT influences and drive the OEM customer's high performance notebook product roadmaps, by doing so we improve the lives of Gamers, professionals, prosumers and content creators. ELIT manages an expansive growing multi-billion dollar product segment delivering significant % of margin to support Intel's profitability and bottom line.
This position aims to grow performance laptop sales by driving impactful marketing activities through GMC, SMG, OEMs and other consumer touch points such as retailers and events. You will need to understand the key usages driving performance notebooks including Gaming, Virtual Reality and Content Creation and what drives the consumer to buy up on a laptop reaching prices well above $999.
You will be responsible for increasing the demand and sales of our product families Core i5, i7 & i9 processors through marketing strategy formulation, influencing OEM and retailer marketing plans and driving Core i9 & i7 laptop processor sales through Intel's various consumer/industry touch points.
Segment marketing specialist responsibilities include: Ensure performance notebook business objectives are comprehended as marketing requirements by CCG Field Sales, SMG, GMC ensuring that we drive a cohesive plan with OEM's. Influence marketing plans with GMC to ensure clear & concise communications leading to exciting product introductions. Define/execute Intel & 3rd party technologies to meets performance notebook customer needs ensuring they scale, while providing performance and exciting features to drive refresh and up-sell. Engage with MCP Product Marketing to deliver proof points and technical collateral that clearly communicate technology transitions, features to support OEM product families to field & customers.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, MBA preferred
- 3+ years of product or segment marketing experience and expertise in product positioning
- Technical knowledge of PC platform technologies, and associated roadmaps
- Strong understanding of the PC biz and OEM dynamics, and what makes a high performance laptop
- Demonstrated ability to present to and influence executive management
- Strong stakeholder management skills across functional and organizational boundaries
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment by managing ambiguity and complexity
- A willingness to carry and use a Enthusiast class performance laptop for work!
