AI Digital Marketing/Social Media Intern

Job Description

Intel's AI Products Group is looking for an intern to join our digital marketing/social media team for 2019. As an intern you will work in an innovative, fast-paced environment with experienced marketing professionals to develop and activate marketing programs designed to increase sales, brand relevance, and corporate perception. You will collaborate with our global and diverse marketing and communications teams, in addition to other global teams such as Sales, to help connect the Intel brand to consumer, business, and internal audiences. AIM interns will own specific portions of a larger overall marketing strategy that may include: activating campaigns, project management, digital marketing, communications, public relations, business operations, analytics & research, training, collateral development, and customer evaluations and tracking. Intel AI marketing offers marketing interns opportunities to network and engage with our broader teams to explore other facets of marketing at Intel. You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience.  

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a BS Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital/Social Media Strategy, Marketing Analytics or Advertising.
  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.”

Minimum 3 months of experience in the following:

  • Marketing fundamentals, campaign strategy and tactics
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Social media skills (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)

Preferred Qualifications:

Marketing experience through work experience or other internships in the following areas:

  • Marketing clubs, social media, etc.
  • Maintaining and creating foundational PR materials including media lists, editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media coverage tracker, pitches and briefing books.
  • Assisting with events including global Marketing and Consumer conferences
  • Conducting research for Business and Intelligence team for proactive news pitching, competitive analysis, industry news and events
  • Assist in pitching media and influencers
  • Interest or experience in marketing technologies and operations.
  • Familiarity with Google Apps (Google Docs, Sheets, Teams, etc.)
