Global Supply Management (GSM)'s EDA/IP sourcing team under RDSE (R&D Strategic Enabling) is looking for suitable candidates for an 'IP Business Development Manager' position. This role supports Intel-wide SoC projects and includes Soft IP and Hard IP sourcing and deal negotiations. In this capacity, the candidate will work with other IP BDMs in the team and be responsible for improving the technology, affordability, quality, and velocity of Intel's External IP ecosystem for Intel internal and external customers. He/she will carry out following IP management functions: 1) Development and execution of supplier negotiation plans to fit Intel's strategy and constraints, 2) Development, execution and maintenance of IP development and licensing contracts including Statements of Work (SOW), 3) Management of payment terms and payments, and 4) Coordination of key management meetings between Intel and its IP development partners. This position requires strong understanding of the IC industry, Design IP landscape including Hard IP and Soft IP, IP licensing models, and 5 yrs of experience in managing vendors/stakeholders including helping with or leading deal negotiations. Candidate needs to be able to work across multiple domains including business, legal, technical and operations, and influence internal and external stakeholders to drive progress in assigned projects.
The ideal candidate will have 5- 8 yrs of relevant experience of which ~5yrs in vendor interface role and must demonstrate: - Knowledge of Semiconductor IP and IP contracts/licensing models, negotiation skills, analytical skills, attention to detail and business acumen - Ability to work through ambiguous and unbounded problems - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to balance between Intel's priorities and the needs of vendors. A BS/MS in engineering or equivalent is required. An MBA is a plus.Inside this Business Group
