Graphics Engineer

Job Description
The Open Source Technology Center within the Software and Solutions Group is looking for talented and motivated software engineers on the graphics related development and integration for Android OS. Our goal is to achieve the best graphics functionality, performance and user experience for Android productions from tablet, client to IOTs. This position requires the ability to handle large and complex code base, solid background of programming and algorithm, enthusiasm of latest graphics technologies.
This position also requires positive interaction with the open source community for kernel, graphics driver and middleware etc, to ensure code is developed in high quality and adopted in upstream community projects as appropriate. Specific tasks may include but not limited to:
- Good understanding on Graphics performance optimization for MESA / Intel Gen series / OpenMax etc
- Enabling/backporting graphics features on different platforms and different kernel versions
- Implementing and debugging graphics related features on multiple platforms
- Improving or bug fixing the existing features
- Working and contributing to different open source projects and communities
- Validating the graphics features or bug fixings via graphics tests


- Working experience on graphics related technology.
- Experience of interacting with the open source community/projects is a plus.
- A bachelor degree (or above) in Computer Science or related areas.
- Solid design and programming skills with C/C++
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following key areas:
- Graphics performance optimization for MESA & Intel Gen series
- Sound Expertise in Linux and Android system and tools. Understanding of Linux or Android internals
- Familiar with C/C++, Shell Script, Python
- Familiar/Good understanding of OpenGL/OpenGLES
- Familiar with Linux graphics framework and middleware
- Graphics middleware or driver validation experience with dEQP, IGT, etc
- Familiar with Kernel display driver will be a plus
- Good English communication skill include verbal and writing skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to participate in multiple areas of a nimble organization
