Intel's Client Customer Engineering CCE team is looking for an enthusiastic problem solver to work as a Firmware Debug / Customer Engineer Intern. This is a mature functional team that excels at deep technical issue resolution and strives to provide the best debug support to both Intel customers and internal stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for debug and resolution of issues related to the Manageability Engine ME Firmware on customer designs. The position requires platform level perspective and end-to-end understanding of solutions/technologies and possible use cases for a variety of customers OEMs, ODMs, ISV, IT, end-users. The task includes collaborating with other organizations such as firmware development, system validation, and other hardware teams to resolve issues together.

In addition, you have an opportunity to learn about many platform components beyond firmware, including: BIOS, hardware, LAN, and others. Your energetic attitude towards problem solving will be a critical part of your success during your interaction with many organizations in several GEOS. Some of these teams include: field, internal customer facing engineers, development, validation and architecture. This is an excellent opportunity to get customer experience through a very technical role.

What you will do...
- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment, and formal software processes.
- Debug includes working on firmware, BIOS, HW, and other platform components related to the Manageability Engine ME.
- Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Influence internal and external partners.
- Drive customer requirements with engineering teams.
- Develop strategies to reduce customer issue throughput.
- Work collaboratively to maximize customer value through debug, technology, and tools.


Must be pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science or appropriately related engineering discipline and experience with debug / troubleshooting across various aspects of computer hardware and software related to source code level debugging, Power Management, BIOS, Boot Flows, System Networking, and OS development. A strong technical background is required.
At least 1 year of experience with any of the following: C, C++ , Python, Linux, Android, OS kernel, Computer architecture: power sequencing, BIOS execution, networking, OS driver model.
Familiarity with In-Target Probe ITP logic analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Protocol Analyzers would be an added advantage.
SW / BIOS / FW development.
Linux and real time OS experience a plus
