Working student for test development of Inter-Processor Communication Interfaces (f/m)

Job Description

Our teams develop, integrate and maintain the embedded Communications, Trace and Debug drivers for multiple mobile platforms, used in millions of phones / tablets and other devices equipped with Intel chip sets across the globe.

We are offering a working student position to enhance our automated test framework to help us keep up with delivering highest quality drivers, supporting an increasing variety of products and features. You will be involved in the design, development and implementation of our new test framework and related test cases running against future Intel products.

Please note that in order to be taken into consideration for this role, you need to be enrolled in a study program. We are looking for somebody to join the team working 20hrs/week during the semester.


Responsibilities:
You will be exposed to the latest developments in PCIe/USB and related areas on cutting-edge hardware and work in a rapidly moving technical environment. As a working student you will interact with different teams and employees to understand requirements for the next generation Intel mobile products. Your contribution to the project will help bring new technologies faster to the market.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters/Diploma/Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, mobile communications or related areas
  • Hands-on programming experience in C or C++ and at least one scripting language like Python, Perl, JavaScript
  • Excellent communication skills in English both orally and written
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a team while also being a strong individual contributor
  • Self-organized, take responsibility and have a dedication to deliver results in time and with high quality


Nice to have:

  • Experience in embedded systems and on target debugging
  • Experience in Java programming
  • Experience with low level driver development
  • Knowledge of microprocessor architectures
  • Knowledge of at least one RTOS
  • Experience working with git
