Business Intelligence Engineer - Intern

Job Description

In this position you will be joining the Process Automation and Continuous Integration Team. In this role you will have the opportunity to create and improve systems and tools our engineering teams depend on to proactively monitor and successfully deliver products and programs. Your responsibilities will include working with Program Managers, Product Owners, and Engineers to identify and deliver the elements necessary to design, create, test, deploy and extend databases, data warehouses, data marts, dashboards and related web applications that address information strategy and team needs. This role leverages your interests in ETL (Extract Transform Load); Microsoft SQL server-side tools (including SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS); T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and related constraints; Power BI; DAX and/or MDX; JSON; JQuery, PHP, HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, C#, VBA; source code management, review and maintenance utilizing GIT, Visual Studio and other artifact management tools, along with deployment in multi-tier (dev/test, deployment, prod) systems.


You should be actively working on your degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and have skills and/or strong interest in learning:
- T-SQL, stored procedures
- ETL's, DataMart's and related schema strategies
- DAX, MDX and server/report side measure 'balancing'
- SSAS-based tabular and multidimensional tables
- DB administration and performance tuning in MS SQL (including SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)
- Creating visualizations with BI tools such as PowerBI:
- JSON, Java, AJAX
- Agile and Scrum methods
- Pattern-based web architectures (i.e. MVC)
- PowerPivot, pivot tables and pivot charts
- HTML, jQuery, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, C#
