This position is a Industry Technical Specialist (India Lead) with expertise in Cloud and Data Centre Technologies Domain within the India Business Consumption team. This is a quota carrying Pre-sales role and the responsibilities of this role includes a)Working closely and advising and influencing focused set of Enterprise, Government, Telco and Cloud Service provider end user customers in India in the Cloud and data Centre Technologies domain.b)Driving Intel Cloud and DC Platform technology sales through supporting and enabling the Account Executives in their Cloud and DC opportunities for focussed India customers.c)Understanding the Customer challenge, evolve the business use case and propose a solution / solution play for the same on Intel Platform technologies and adjacencies. Be able to evaluate and discuss the technical merits of a solution / solution play , developing ROI /TCO models and co-owning relationships with customer/partner decision makers to influence the customers purchasing decision. d)Collaborate with various stake holders both internal and external to accelerate adoption of Intel-based platforms through successful delivery and orchestration of PoCs, Workshops and Pre-Production Pilot implementations with customers and partners of Intel . e)Providing direct technical assistance to customers and partners, interfacing with Sr. technical decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.f)Continuously train and keep abreast of the most current Intel Cloud and DC Platform technologies and associated competition technologies, technology trends and their use cases in the different Industry vertical contexts.g)Provide leadership for India ITS Team across multiple technology domains by guiding them and mentoring them in delivering their responsibilities effectively.h)Be the nodal point of contact within the ITS team for the Individual Sales leads to interface on Resource requirements for key technology engagements.i)Identify training and upskill needs for the team based on the team / Country / Organisation priorities.j)Be the nodal point of contact and management within the India ITS team for interfacing with multiple second level Technology teams including but not limited to TSS team from DCG, AIPG, PSG NSG, NPG and Intel`s Software and Solutions Group. The ideal candidate must possess a deep knowledge of cloud and data centre technologies, Intel server products, industry server platforms, ingredients within the platforms memory, IO, storage, networking, and their relationship to cloud solutions for end-customer usage and benefit. They must be familiar with a broad range of current and emerging vertical and horizontal technologies and products and familiar with technology trends. Ability to apply 'solution selling' methodology to optimize available resources for achieving sales goals including a solid understanding of the ecosystem. Ability to influence within the organization from technical individuals to CxO's. Ability to support an experienced Intel sales team and partner sales team, including skills in identifying and coordinating the right technical resources. Ability to develop and execute a solution sales plan leveraging Intel technologies and products CPU and Portfolio Products to maximize cloud business growth. The ideal candidate must also be familiar with fundamental business concepts in the public / Private / Hybrid cloud use cases in the industry. Able to clearly formulate points of view on market direction, emerging technologies and their application in solving business challenges, and ability to influence customers strategically. Keen understanding of market and industry trends to influence the successful outcome for Intel. Experience in presentations in public forums to validate industry recognition as subject matter expert. The candidate should have proven experience of leading Technical Specialists or Solution Architect teams and help them be a high performance technical team delivering exceptional results vide customer engagements. Responsibilities: Drive Intel design wins of Cloud infrastructure solutions across the Industry segments. Establish and maintain close working relationships with the account sales teams, factory product teams, and customers to accelerate the Intel business. Be a go to technical Pre-sales resource who will mentor, guide, and train the Intel account sales teams by delivering detailed product presentations, competitive analysis, platform and service solutions. Serve as an architectural resource to field teams with customers in winning key platform and solutions. Drive key product and platform requirements into Intel product teams as the voice of the customer and escalate key related issues through appropriate venues. Develop close relationships with related ecosystem ingredients and support hardware and software partners. Have strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively present in front of deep technical, executive, and large audiences.
The candidate should have a BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or equivalent technical knowledge. 5+ years of demonstrable experience in technical solutions sales. Experience selling Cloud Solutions - Public, Private, Hybrid. Knowledge of Software-Defined Infrastructure Solutions for Compute, Storage, Networking. Familiar with Automation and Orchestration technologies and tools, DevOps, PaaS, Containers/Micro services spanning Multiple Cloud Operating Environments VMware, OpenStack, Microsoft, Public Cloud and other open source initiatives Open Daylight, CEPH / distributed storage SW, SNAP / cloud telemetry tools etc. Storage/Memory and Networking Technical expertise is a plus. End customers' project experience in SAS / SATA SSD, Fiber Channel, or PCIe storage components, RAID controllers, HBAs, Expanders, JBODs, SAN, NAS, AFA, Hyper converged. Solid understanding of key HW and SW trends within data centers related to Virtualization/Software-Defined Data Centre, Big Data Analytics, Database, Application Middleware, HPC, IOT, Machine Learning, Storage and Networking trends as well as General IT applications and Legacy IT. Knowledge and awareness of key security trends and issues also a plus. Experienced on specifying Compute, Storage, and Network hardware platforms based upon workload dimensioning, sizing and performance characterization. A solid understanding of Intel data centre product lines server, storage, and software. Additional Profile Characteristics Preferred: Excellent remote working presence including strong time-management and organizational skills, ability to continuously prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment including customer design win pipeline management. Good relationship building skills are necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of Intel and the customer. Strong team relationship skills with the ability to organize a virtual team around a task to win. Strong skills as the trusted-advisor in solving challenging technical and business problems. Candidate needs to be able to integrate technical, business, market and environmental conditions into a compelling solution that meets the needs of Intel and the customer. Candidate will be required to travel approx. 50% of the time.
