Job Description

This is an entry level position for various groups within Assembly/Test Technology Development (ATTD) department at Intel and will be compensated accordingly.

A number of positions are available in Arizona and Oregon. Job scope varies depending on the final placement in specific group, and can include the following: Performs research, design, and development of assembly or test process, equipment, tooling, software, library, fixture, hardware, module etc.

Responsibilities include technology path-finding, architecture development, design material gathering, development of assembly/test process & equipment, conduct design review, design/test fixture, perform fixture acceptance, resolve design and implementation issues, meet production quality and reliability requirement, and updating fixture/equipment as needed through product life cycle.

Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a M.S. or Ph.D. degree in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science.
  • Well qualified students with B.S. degree in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Science, Materials Science and strong records will also be considered.

Preferred ​ qualifications: Varies depending on position and may include the following:

  • Experience/knowledge in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, PERL, JAVA, PSpice, SQL, VHDL, and scripting languages.
  • Experience/knowledge in electromechanical systems, AutoCAD, Solidworks, development of robotic equipment from concept to prototype to test.
  • Experience/knowledge in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process and equipment.
  • Experience/knowledge in statistical methods and software.
  • Demonstrate experience in packaging, interconnects, applied electromagnetics, RF design, and high speed circuit design.
  • Demonstrate experience in circuit analysis and signal & power integrity tools such as SPICE, HFSS and ADS.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of circuit theory, computational electromagnetics, transmission line fundamentals, microwave engineering and signal processing.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with computer architecture and fundamental scripting skills with tools such as Matlab.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with lab equipment such as PNA, TDR, spectrum analyzer, scopes, etc.
  • Prior industry internship experience strongly desired,
