Radio Frequency Engineer Entry Level

Job Description

We are seeking self-motivated Radio Frequency Engineers, who have strong technical background on system level electromagnetic, signal integrity, power integrity design and analysis. The candidate will be contributing to Intel's next generation platform designs for client SoC products, such as 2-in-1s, laptops, and desktop computers. In this role you will work with cross-functional teams to develop and validate EMI/RFI/RF immunity/ESD, extract circuit, package, board, and chassis models to perform different levels of EMC/RF simulations and minimize risks. In addition, you will work with Intel customers to review their client platform designs to meet the EMC regulatory and radio certification requirements to enable product development.

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work, class course work, research, relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Degree in Electric Engineering

Experience with:

  • Electromagnetic theory
  • Signal and power integrity
  • EM simulation tools such as ANSYS EM suite, CST microwave studio, or Cadence
  • SI / PI analysis. 
  • Laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, VNA, and etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with:

  • Electromagnetic interference (EMI) theory
  • Electrostatic discharge (ESD) theory
  • Radio frequency interference (RFI) theory
  • RF immunity theory
  • Antenna theory
  • EMC regulatory testing
  • Antenna performance test, SAR testing, or 3G/LTE carrier certification such as TIS & TRP
  • EMC regulatory specifications and radio certifications for a client systems and radios WLAN, WWAN, and WiGig
