Senior FPGA High Level Design OpenCL Applications

Job Description
Intel Programmable Solution Group aka Altera is seeking highly motivated, hands-on High Level Design and OpenCL talents to work with defense customers for their FPGA projects. In this Applications Engineer role, you will be responsible for supporting customer and enabling successful completion of customer project design by providing technical expertise, guidance, design optimizations and issue resolution. Your responsibilities will include but not limit to the followings:- Provide technical support for Intel's High Level Design HLD tools/OpenCL SDK, fully resolve customer issues and queries from Intel office or on customer site- Provide technical expertise and guidance in FPGA High Level Design HLD tools, methodologies and design flows, support customer to efficiently implement algorithms on FPGAs, and efficiently profile and optimize their design- Provide demonstrations and proofs of concepts to highlight Intel FPGA capabilities at customer- Participate in collateral development- Work closely with engineering teams, marketing teams, the field teams and customers- Remain knowledgeable in OpenCL, C/C++, FPGA, CPU, DSP and Embedded Systems trends through research and participation in forums and industry events- Primary working location can be either San Jose, California or Chelmsford, Massachusetts


The successful candidate should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:- MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience- Excellent understanding of computational algorithms theory- Excellent C/C++ software programming skills and code optimizations- Good understanding of code optimization using parallelism, pipelining, memory management, concurrency and multi-threading- Experience with Embedded System, FPGA or DSP development, Verilog or VHDL coding is preferred- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and passion- Good written and oral communication skills self-motivated and team player- Involves extended travel and customer on-site support- Experience in defense project/system design a plus- Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship
