Solution Architect

Job Description
Responsible for researching and recommending specific systems, applications and partners to deliver for specific DCG customers. In instances where the solution does not exist, they are relied upon to create a unique solution at the Part Number level by working across Intel or OxM. They design, develop, and analyze overall architecture to determine that hardware, software and data architecture solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs. They work with validation and systems solution engineering to ensure what is defined is fit for purpose, and ultimately can be manufactured and delivered. They work very closely with sales and customers.


10+ years of experience in data center solution design, including application workload analysis for Infrastructure optimization. First-hand experience designing, implementing, and managing datacenter infrastructure.Direct experience designing infrastructure solutions for large data centers, or cloud platformsDemonstrate the ability to identify and drive customer requirements, market needs, and solution development into Intel business product plans, programs, and unit project teams which could consist of architects, engineers, marketing, research scientists, and support staff. Experience and proficiency working in a lab environment with hardware and software engineering experts to lead board bring-up, trouble shooting at component, board, and system level to root-cause issues and provide leadership/guidance recommendations to the team for resolution.Significant hardware and/or software design experience Expertise on IA microarchitecture for servers.Software stack expertise orchestration layer, OS, storage, etc.Excellent oral and written communication skills in technical and business discussions, to articulate technical concepts to engineering and architects and discuss business benefits with cloud service providers IT directors end customersBS or MS degree in computer or electrical engineeringWhat are the top 3 technical skills required to perform this job?Ability to design IA-based technology solutions using the latest Intel technologies CPU, chipset, NVMe, FPGA, visual computing accelerator add-in cards, etc to address real IT/Cloud challenges.Have deep knowledge of industry SW stack e.g., for cloud OS, orchestration, VMWARE solutions, Openstack, Microsoft, etc and ability to optimize the SW stack to better work with Intel building blocks and specific ISV solution Understand and compile HW and SW requirements for server boards, chassis, systems, add-in cards, rack level implementations, management and orchestration tools, and communicate them to customers and Intel engineering, architecture, marketing, and field teamsResponsibilities:Be the technical backbone for the solutions team to help compile and sell solutions to the customerSupport business development teams with technology solutionsBe able to translate those definitions and customer needs to help support product teams as they define strategies and long term HW and SW roadmap of next generation Intel Server building blocks and systems product line for the cloud market boards, cards, chassis, and systemsInterface with cross-organization senior Product Manager, component and solution Architects, and HW and SW Engineering Managers to contribute on the technical point of view for market and customer requirements that feed the product definition.
