Business Development Manager

Job Description
This is a BDM role with attached MBOs. Responsible to win the enterprise and architecture decision by offering unified, cohesive solutions based on Intel Security solution portfolio. The Business Development Manager would be responsible for driving incremental demand creation efforts within Greenfields Enterprise customers for developing Intel Security products, solutions, or services. Engagement and Account Management with Net New Accounts, identifying all stakeholders within the Enterprise Account, growing and maintaining strong relationships, preparing and presenting solutions, and finalizing the sales process. Analyzes the customer environment to understand customer needs and collaborates with technical resources to provide expertise as needed to meet customer requirements. Conducts regular Account reviews with cross-function teams and ensures alignment and leverages internal technical resources as needed to meet customer solution requirements. Works closely with customers to drive POC's and/or various GTM activities. Upsells/cross sell Intel Security products and solutions based on customer need. Has decision-making/negotiating authority within generally defined guidelines with some room for interpretation. Generates demand with resellers and end-user customers and growing mind-share, product awareness, and business relationships. Responsible for weekly sales forecasting and sales linearity. Has an understanding of the Intel Security portfolio of software and hardware products and solutions and applies knowledge of the software security market, competitors, and their relative strengths & weaknesses. Executes successful solution selling generating license and services revenue and held accountable to defined sales quotas. Demonstrates clear focus on high levels of activity in a new and renewal business role and takes steps to ensure high levels of client facing activity. Interfaces with customers at all levels from senior VP levels to technicians.


Qualifications

1.Excellent communication and presentation skills verbal and written 2.Strong personal presence, capable of engaging senior management 3.Demonstrable track record of high value sales.4.High Activity and touch rate within Net New Accounts5.Experience of working in and selling to the South African market. Understanding of and demonstrable track record of utilising a recognised sales methodology.6.Engages management up to C and Board level within a client base to enhance political alignment. 7.Experienced, competent and comfortable with Board Level negotiations.8.Competent and experienced in the application of Target Account Selling methodology or other Sales/Business methodologies.9.Works closely with and understands how to engage members of the technical services and professional services organisation early in the sales cycle.10.Understands the market issues and trends affecting business and use of IT Security. 11.Experience working with the Channel and System Integrators.12.Software background. Security sector experience is desirable.13.Must be computer literate with email, Internet, word processing and spreadsheets.14.Clear, accurate and concise reporting.15.Experience and comfortable with weekly linearity forecasting16.Self-motivated and disciplined with a determined attitude to succeed.17.Highly professional, assertive and goal oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.18.Creative individual with strong personal presence.Self-starter who is pro-active, flexible, creative, with lots of initiative and a positive can-do attitude19.Results-driven with strong goal-orientation20.Willing to work and travel flexible hours to suit customer requirements21.Fluent in English22.IT Security/ Risk and Governance certification would be desirable
