Corporate Communications Manager
Job Description Intel's Corporate Reputation Team, which is part of the Global Communications Group, is seeking an experienced communications professional who enjoys being proactive and thinking outside the box, while at the same time exhibiting strong organization skills and exquisite attention to detail. DESCRIPTION: In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting a range of corporate reputation activities and programs, including taking the lead on certain issues management situations and helping to develop and lead proactive programs in support of our Legal and Global Public Policy organization, corporate social responsibility programs, and Technology Manufacturing Group.RESPONSIBLITIES: Be a supporting communication team contact for certain cross-company issues and risk management systems. Help to maintain Intel's crisis and issues communication system and related knowledge management tools, and participate in long-range issues and crisis management communications planning. Assist in the planning and execution of Intel's public relations programs in support of its United States federal public policy and regulatory goals, working in cooperation with our public policy team in Washington DC. Serve as a spokesman in these areas as needed.Serve as a spokesperson on topics of priority for Intel's Technology Manufacturing Group, and specific CSR programs. Establish and cultivate media and influencer relationships in Silicon Valley, Washington DC and other locations as may be required.Create and execute proactive integrated communications programs -- that span earned media, digital communications and events -- to advance Intel's corporate reputation in priority areas. In support of these programs, manage a budget and PR agency resources.
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or Public Policy/Political Science.Minimum 8 years of proven experience in public relations, including significant experience related to federal public policy and CSR communications. Prior agency and high-tech industry experience is preferred. Experience working on political campaigns or Capitol Hill is highly desired. Media relations and digital communications understanding and experience required Exceptional writing, verbal and critical thinking skills Strong research and problem-solving skills and project management expertise Proven track record in collaborating with outside vendors e.g., PR agencies, partners, etc. Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative Approaches everything with a sense of urgency and can prioritize multiple projects Ability to collaboratively work cross-functionally within a broader, integrated communications team and with a global mindset Comfort with risk taking is a plus.
