Auto Security - Research Scientist

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate with background in automotive security research, specifically on Advanced Driver Assistance System ADAS and advanced wireless vehicular communications. The candidate should have advanced research background such as PhD in a related field e.g., CS, EE with experience analyzing threats and developing mitigations for embedded and IoT systems automotive preferred. Knowledge of systems and network security with exposure to wireless communications such as WiFi, cellular networks is desirable.

The ideal candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. In particular, they should be self-motivated, show initiative, and drive closure of technical issues.
  • They should be able to present complex issues with clarity to drive decisions.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry jobs and/or research experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with focus on systems/network security.
  • Security-related publications in a peer-reviewed conference proceedings or journal.
  • Must have experience developing software with C++, C, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research background in Automotive Systems and Network security.
  • Familiarity with CAN, DSRC, LTE-V2X, 5G etc.
