We will deliver even more in the future. The Cloud Security Engineer will design and implement technical solutions to support the company's business and compliance objectives for cloud services. These services include security as a service offerings provided by the company as well as public and private cloud services used in our business. We will use McAfee technology in conjunction with other security controls to deliver highly secure services to customers and to protect sensitive data in the cloud. Responsibilities - work with DevOps teams to integrate security objectives into CI/CD workflow - specify secure configuration standards for cloud instances and infrastructure - drive effective use of security technologies such as endpoint security, SIEM and threat intelligence in the cloud environment - use controls such as encryption and DLP to protect data in the cloud - - establish, validate and promote successful practices and use cases for McAfee cloud security offerings - provide feedback to development teams on product quality, feature set and usability - support enterprise risk assessment, audit, monitoring and incident response objectives as required.
Bachelors or equivalent in CS, IT or a related field. Minimum of five 5 years of experience in information security related positions. A working knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technology is required AWS and VMware preferred. A background including several of: Cloud security, OS security Linux a plus, network security, threat modeling, event analysis, intrusion prevention, and/or incident response. Experience with several security technologies such as anti-malware, application control, firewall, IPS, SIEM, encryption, DLP. Experience with McAfee technology strongly preferred. Requires thorough knowledge of security practices, procedures, and capabilities in order to perform non-repetitive, analytical work. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. High level critical thinking skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Ability to conduct research into security issues and products. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple goals. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. CCSP or CCSK strongly preferred.
