NGC CPU floorplan expert

Job Description

As the CPU floor-plan expert, your responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:- Owning the top-down floor-plan. You'll work with micro-architects to develop and evaluate options and then build the floor-plan.- Leading the effort to optimize the floor-plan for area, power, and performance.- Working across domains such as power delivery, clocking, and packaging- Influencing program direction with technical proposals, analysis and recommendations.- Leading and mentoring junior technical staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors in Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant work experience or M.S. in Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated success in one or more of the following areas:
• Floorplanning a complex project from initial design to tape-out
• Floor-plan block placement and routing optimization to improve area, power, or timing
• Digital circuit and layout experience relevant to floor-plan optimization
• Experience with industry standard floor-plan tools
• Scripting in an interpreted language e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby, TCL
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6+ years of CPU/Microprocessor floor-plan experience
• Research publications, patent filings, or other evidence of personal
technical innovation in CPU/Microprocessor design
