Job Description The Director of Market Intelligence will own the planning, development and communications of market, competitive and customer intelligence efforts necessary to support sales, product development planning and marketing efforts. The Director is responsible for developing a deep understanding of the marketplace through primary and secondary research, and convert this knowledge into actionable business insights to assist in strategic management decisions. The individual is responsible for leading a team of 3 to 4 analysts to build out strategic market analysis competencies necessary to provide insight to the organization in order to shape business initiatives. ResponsibilitiesAct as the market research point of contact and consultative business partner to sales, marketing and product development to help identify needs and prioritize knowledge gapsDefine strategic plan for market and competitive intelligence researchChampion consumer-centric research and proactively deliver the voice of the consumer within the organizationDirect and execute primary research projects, including project definition/scope, findings aggregation, final reporting and delivery Lead and deliver presentations of market and industry intelligence reports share and market TAMS, strategic market trends, competitive updates, etc. Collaborate and partner with business leaders to develop and analyze quantitative and qualitative research and present actionable insightsWork with external intelligence providers and interfaces with marketing, research, or data analysis professionals to discover and report relevant data for leadership decision-makingManage and mentor a team of 3-4 researchers and analysts
Qualifications & SkillsExperience in researching and analyzing technology markets consumer software & or Telecom requiredStrong quantitative analysis capabilitiesPrimary/secondary research methods, both offline and onlineIndustry-standard assessment modelsStatistical/analytics packagesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsCustomer-centric, open-minded approach to solving business and analytical problems 10+ years of progressive experience in the areas of product management, product marketing, market research, or industry analysis is strongly preferredminor travel including partner visits and industry events 10-15%Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred
